The BattleMech


More maneuverable and versatile than a 20th-century tank, the BattleMech has been the premier weapon of war since its introduction in 2439. Generally humanoid in appearance, 'Mechs range from ten to fourteen meters in height and weigh as much as 100 tons. Powered by a fusion reactor and mounting a fearsome array of weapons including lasers, autocannon and missile launchers, even the smallest BattleMech is a force to be reckoned with; the largest assault 'Mechs are virtually armies unto themselves.  To see pictures of these Mechs  and even more specs please go to the Virtual World web page.
